A heartwarming and refreshing debut novel that proves one thing: there’s not enough data in the world to predict what will make your heart tick.

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases–a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.

It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice–with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan–from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…

Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he’s making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic…

my review-02-02

She didnt know how to be semi-interested in something. She was either indifferent . . . or obsessed. And her obsessions weren’t passing things. They consumed her and became a part of her. . .

. . . He was an obsession waiting to happen.

The Kiss Quotient is an adult romance that make you obsess over the story and the characters immediately. You cannot resist the charm of this forbidden romance even if you try to. The story is light-hearted, fluffy, and freaking HOT.

“I know you hate surprises, Stella. In the interests of communicating our expectations and providing you a reasonable timeline, you should know we’re ready for grandchildren.”

The opening line is hysterical and you know instantly that you are in for an amazing ride.

This book is about Stella who is an econometrician and loves mathematics but struggles getting in a relationship owning to her Aspergers. And about Michael, a half-Asian who is struggling to pay bills and is an escort. The plot starts when Stella decides to hire Michael to train her be a good girlfriend and help her out her misery.

The plot is quite fast paced from the very beginning and is hilarious and witty. You are bound to have a constant wide grin while reading this novel. The story is so adorable with just the right amount of mush in it. The romance is addictive and racy with graphic descriptions.

She painted the characters so well. I can picture Stella and Michael. I can really really picture them. Specially Michael. 😉 He currently is my very definition of HOT. I mean OH MY GOSH! Have I ever met a book boyfriend as HOT as him?? I mean have I ever met A guy as hot as him?

I also loved Michaels’ family instantly. His mom, brother and sisters. The whole vibe of the book was so great.

The most important part of a book I feel though is the ending and trust me Hoang hit it brilliantly! It made my heart flutter and was absolutely satisfying. I kept on reading the authors’ note and acknowledgements and didn’t yet want to leave that world.

The writing is also very smooth and effortless. The chapters are short and crisp. I just flew through the pages.

In short, The Kiss Quotient is an incredible novel. Unputdownable. And is undoubtedly one the best romances I’ve read.
