Authors' Spotlight

It is my pleasure to host author Angela K Chambers on my blog today. Her latest book 21st Century Business Savvy Series is available for purchase now.

Me: What made you pen down 21st Century Business Savvy Series?

Angela: So, I received my master’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies, and I cannot recall discussing business credit or why establishing business credit at the inception of the business can be one of the best decisions you make in regard to success: cash flow, funding inventory, purchasing power and more! I know that most of the business owners that I speak with are not utilizing business credit or are not sure how it works and why it is important. Frankly, I did not either for years.

Me: What should readers expect from this book?

Angela: They should be able to get a clear understanding of business credit and how it works, why it’s important and how to get started.

Me: What do you enjoy most about writing?

Angela: Sharing information. I like to share information with people who value it and will implement the information.

Me: What kind of research did you do for writing this book?

Angela: My own experience and journey of establishing business credit for my businesses, I have attended many webinars, read other books, and walked/talked through various strategies. There is a ton of information out there, some worked, and some did not. Frankly, my approach may not work for everyone, but I hope that each business owner will gain the knowledge and understand how to implement for their businesses.

Me: Your books are full of insights and guidance to help others succeed. How important is it for you to share your wisdom?

Angela: I believe it is why I was created; to help others. I witnessed my grandmother, Mrs.  Wilma Green, being a selfless giver share her knowledge and wisdom with others. She always wanted to help. It is who I am.

Me: Do you wish there were more books like these while you were trying to establish your footing?

Angela: Certainly! I wished there were textbooks and courses available as I began my entrepreneur journey about business credit. I think it should be a part of any business program curriculum.

Me: What do you like to do when you are not writing?

Angela: I love reading, spending time with my husband, grandchildren and family. I love learning new things.

Me: Are there any other projects underway?

Angela: Yes! I have a few more books for this series. I am also a co-author with a couple groups of women on two different books set to release in August and September, respectively. I will be hosting a business panel for the 2021 Expo for Black Women Business Owners of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will also release a couple of inspirational books this year.
